"Pi" is another one of those quirky numbers. It is one of the most well know numbers in mathematics. The number is thought to be completely random and irrational with no pattern that can be deciphered. I think it is ironic that this so called irrational number is used to explain many things in our so called rational world. There was a great movie that I saw many years ago called Pi. The concept of the movie was very interesting. The main character spent most of his life studying the number, which is thought to go on into infinity. The guy was searching for a pattern within the number. The closer he got to seeing the pattern the closer he got to understanding the universe and ultimately leading him to a psychotic break. The movie also hints at secretes know by some Rabbis who study Kabbalah.
